Fly-In Dinant (Namur) 2025

Fly-In Dinant (Namur) 2025

Welcome to visit Dinant, a true picture-postcard town, organised by IFFR Benelux from Friday 30th May until Sunday 1st June 2025.

Dinant, a charming town in the Belgian Ardennes, is famous for its breathtaking location along the Meuse River, nestled between dramatic cliffs and dominated by its iconic citadel.
The citadel, perched high above the city, offers stunning panoramic views, accessible via a cable car. The town’s picturesque setting, with the Meuse, the Collegiate Church’s onion-domed tower, and a ribbon of houses and shops along the river, creates a scene straight out of a fantasy film.
Visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the river, relax on a terrace, and savor local specialties such as Caracole Beer, flamiche dinantaise (a cheese and egg tart), and the hard, sweet biscuit known as couque de Dinant. The town is also rich in cultural heritage and history, boasting nearby castles and abbeys for exploration.

Dinant’s international fame is tied to Adolphe Sax, the inventor of the saxophone, who was born here. The town honors him with a museum in his birthplace and various statues throughout the city. For music enthusiasts, the Maison de la Pataphonie showcases unique musical instruments made from everyday objects, adding to Dinant’s vibrant cultural offerings. With its natural beauty, historical charm, and culinary delights, Dinant is an essential destination in the Belgian Ardennes.
